PDA / FDA Atypical Actives Workshop
9-10 March, 2011 - Bethesda, Maryland
Now more than ever, control of suppliers has become a critical element of the total quality system for pharmaceutical manufacturing. It is challenging to assure that all active pharmaceutical ingredient suppliers maintain the quality expectations necessary for safe and effective products. But what if you have ingredients who are primarily manufactured for non-pharmaceutical purposes, but which may function as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient in your product? How will you assure that they meet quality and regulatory expectations? The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA),is holding a first ever 2011 PDA Atypical Actives Workshop. |

PDA Glass Quality Conference and Rx-360 Glass Delamination Workshop
23-25 May, 2011 - Arlington, Virginia |
In the recent past there have been several recalls and increasing concerns about pharmaceutical glass packaging, both with regard to defects and/or incompatibilities with finished product over the shelf life. Pharmaceutical manufacturers, regulators, and glass suppliers all share a common goal of assuring the highest quality products (including packaging) for patients. This meeting will discuss these issues; best practice to preventing and/or detecting at risk glass packaging; and review current expectations to ensure that recalls are avoided and container closure integrity is assured.
Following the PDA Conference on the 23rd and 24th, Rx-360 will be hosting a workshop to discuss glass delamination.
