The Rx-360 Supplier-Led Working Group (SLWG) was formed in 2013 as an initiative through which supplier members can share perspectives and work collaboratively with manufacturer members to achieve greater harmonization and efficiencies in the supply chain with the long-term vision of better serving patients.

Complicated communication channels between Industry and Suppliers have often resulted in duplicated efforts and redundancies. These inefficiencies reduce time that could be better spent enhancing other aspects of the overall supply chain. The Supplier-Led working group allows suppliers to identify common issues and challenges and then collaborate with Industry members on standardized solutions that are more efficient for suppliers to execute.

Examples of past successes have been the development of an industry-standard Supplier Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) program, which improves efficiency and provides a more robust supplier information packet than relying on every manufacturer creating their own similar version. The Quality Agreement Best Practices Guide was developed to help reduce the time-consuming and painful process of negotiating and maintaining quality agreements. By utilizing input from quality agreement experts from multiple manufacturers and suppliers, the guide successfully breaks down a complicated process into a valuable reference of best practices. The SLWG has also published white papers on various subjects to help drive and influence industry on key issues.
