Head of Corp. E2E Supply Chain Quality Mgmt, Boehringer Ingelheim

Marc has completed studies in polymer chemistry at two universities in Germany (Wuppertal, Mainz) and at Cornell University, NY.

17 years with Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) holding positions in:

  • Development of transdermal systems and dry powder inhalation products
  • Human pharma launch department, implementing large-scale manufacturing processes for BI´s antidiabetics portfolio, managing plant for a cancer product, leading the global human pharma technical operations group
  • Corporate Quality Assurance department, responsible for BI´s global supplier audit center and all supply chain related quality management systems

Engaged in working groups for several trade associations for drug shortage and COVID-19 related aspects and acting as industry single-point-of-contact for BI towards the European Medicines Agency for drug shortage reporting.

In addition, lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Bingen, Germany, teaching process science and excipients-use for drug products.
